
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — A suspect tried to bite a Boise Police officer Thursday morning just before officers recovered meth, heroin, MDMA, illegal pills and cash from a hotel room.
BPD officers and the US Marshal's Task Force were following up on an investigation when they found suspects Chanel Mccord and Jared Burchett at a hotel on Overland Road.
Mccord and Burchett were both wanted for previous crimes.
As officers tried to take Mccord into custody, she physically resisted and tried to bite an officer. Burchett was arrested without any incidents.
Police then served a search warrant on the hotel and found 30.4 grams of heroin, two grams of marijuana, 17.5 grams of meth, MDMA, several schedule 3 and 4 pills without prescriptions, drug paraphernalia and cash.
Many of the drugs were individually packaged.
Mccord, a 32-year-old from Boise, was charged with drug trafficking, attempting to flee an officer in a motor vehicle, drug paraphernalia, bail violations, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and resisting or obstructing an officer.
Burchett, a 39-yeara-old from Kuna, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, drug trafficking in heroin, unlawful possession of a weapon, failure to appear, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
